Axis Construction Corp was engaged by North Shore Long Island Jewish Health Systems to build three new cardiac catheterization laboratories complete with a recovery room and administrative support space, as well as a rooftop chiller plant.
The project required the construction of temporary facilities to allow procedures to be performed even during the construction process. This necessitated extra precautions being taken, especially with the ventilation and duct work systems.
Another Challenge arose during construction when the hospital’s schedule required 6 months worth of construction be completed in half the scheduled time. With a combination of hard work, determination and team work the job ended up coming in not only early but under budget as well.
