The project required the demolition of a two level mezzanine office complex, and construction of a new office space with consolidated departments, as well as a wine storage facility. The office complex was designed and constructed specifically to enable vendors to flow easily from department to department within the office.
By demolishing the second level, and keeping all of the construction on one level, the Axis team was able to recapture the height of the warehouse. The high ceilings give the office an open, airy feeling. Construction included a band of offices, conference rooms, a cafeteria for the employees, a computer room with raised flooring, a sign manufacturing shop, and a display construction department.
The construction of a wine storage facility was required as well, to provide Fortunoffs with additional storage for their stores. The wine storage facility features a computer system which controls and maintains the temperature and humidity through out the area at all times. The controlled environment provides an ideal storage place for wines from all over the world until they can be shipped to stores and sold.
