Cafeteria
Forest Hills Hospital – Forest Hills, NY

The hospitals tight schedule required that construction of the new cafeteria be completed in a mere 3½ months. The tight operating schedule proved to be challenging, and required that the work be done at an accelerated rate. The Axis team rose to the challenge and got the work done on time, and without sacrificing the level of quality

The cafeteria was designed specifically to best accommodate the flow of customers. A vending machine area was constructed, providing food and space for dining even after the cafeteria is closed for the evening.

Green, brown, and black colors were used throughout the space to keep with the harvest theme of the cafeteria. Wood finishes, black granite counters, decorative lighting, and chrome accents on all of the millwork aided in creating a pleasant dining experience for the patrons.

State of the art cooking and refrigeration equipment was installed in the kitchen of the cafeteria. The kitchen features brand new refrigerated drink and sandwich cases, hot food cases, broilers, grills, fryers, convection ovens, microwave ovens, an electric induction range, refrigerators, freezers, and a drop-in cold food unit.
