The Vanderbilt Family Health Clinic – “Gotham Medical” has Clinical Programs that include Pediatrics, Women’s Health, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Radiology (x-ray, ultra-sound, mammography), Diabetes Care as well as Behavioral Health. Axis Construction Corporation was awarded this Design/Build contract specifically bid by NYC Health and Hospitals to be constructed utilizing Modular construction. The structure is comprised of over 59 modules in order to meet the fast-track schedule. The facility is a two (2) story, approximately 20,000 SF, Type II (steel frame – noncombustible) equipped with a fully automatic fire sprinkler system.
This stand-alone building is designed in accordance with NYC-HHC’s program requirements as well as all NYC Building Codes and Article 28 Diagnostic and Treatment requirements. The building has also achieved a LEED Silver rating. The building is Staten Island’s newest diagnostic and treatment center and it is anticipated to handle over 40,000 patient visits annually by 2020.
