Axis Construction provided ground-up construction of a 127,000 square foot storage facility for Public Storage. The project, located in Hicksville, New York, began with abatement/demolition of an existing structure, followed by site remediation.

 

 

 

Construction then began on the new, three-story storage facility, which features an office/retail area, display space, and 1,160 individual storage units. The building was constructed using a structural stud system, block insulated metal panel façade, and storefront systems. The project was completed in 9 months.
