Brookville, NY– March 5, 2026 – Axis Construction Corporation, an award-winning leader in conventional and off-site modular commercial construction for the Northeast, has been awarded the design-build contract for the Bleacher Locker Room Modular Construction Project at Long Island University Post, located within Shark Stadium. The project consists of a 2,600-square-foot modular locker room facility designed to enhance athletic operations and improve the student-athlete experience at the university.
The project will be delivered using a modular construction methodology, allowing key building components to be fabricated off-site and installed efficiently on campus. This approach minimizes disruption to ongoing athletic activities while accelerating the construction schedule and maintaining high standards of quality and durability.
As the design-build contractor, Axis Construction is responsible for all phases of the project, including design coordination, modular fabrication, site preparation, installation, and final commissioning. The new facility will provide modern locker room accommodations and supporting spaces tailored to the needs of LIU Post’s athletic programs and the operational demands of a stadium environment.
Construction is scheduled for completion in August 2026, ensuring the facility is ready for use ahead of the upcoming athletic season.
